Member of Blinkenshell

Congratulations, you are now a member of Blinkenshell! Your account is activated, and you can start using it right away.

If you are new to shell services, you might want to take a look at the [:Howto:Howtos]. There are some articles there about usage of common programs. Also, it might be a good idea to look at the ["FAQ"].

If you have a question about how to use any of the programs or something like that, feel free to ask in the ["Info/IRC"] channel. As a user, you are expected to hang around on IRC from time to time. If there is another user in need of help, or someone trying to sign up, you are very welcome to try and help them also. Since you already have an account, you probably know how the signup process works etc.

If you want +v on IRC, access to member-only pages on the wiki (only one currenly), your own MySQL DB, email account at @blinkenshell.org or something like that, ask ["Independence"].

  • Approve (or vouch for) new users: ["Info/Approve"]
  • Help other users or visitors on IRC or in other ways. If you active on IRC, help out users, and act maturely you might get +o on IRC.
  • Add content to this wiki. Add a simple Howto, add an entry to the FAQ, do some translations to other languages etc.
  • Spread the word. Put links to Blinkenshell on your website, blog or forum signature. Tell your friends about Blinkenshell.
  • Make a donation! Money, hardware, hosting etc is greatly appreciated. Users donating might get extra privileges like increased Quota, ability to run bots or servers etc if they want to.
